Fall is in the Air!

Although we were learning about the ocean last week, we took some time out to do 2 Fall art projects. The first one involved large coffee filters, markers, and water. We colored our coffee filters with our markers, and Mrs. Jones sprayed water on them. All of the colors ran together. When they dried, Ms. Allene laminated them. After that, she showed is how to die cut them into the shape of leaves. Very cool! We also painted colors tissue paper onto an apple. We used water and glue to paint with. Mrs. Jones hung our leaves and apples on our door.
Thursday and Friday we worked on our handprint crabs. We painted a sheet of paper blue with our water colors. When that dried, Mrs. Jones painted some "sand", and sprinkled real sand to make it look like the beach. She painted our hands red, and we made them into crabs! We hope you liked our finished product!

Colors, Shapes, and Charleston Wrap!

We have had a busy 2 weeks in Kindergarten. We have learned to "read" our color and shape words! That was some hard work!!! We graphed M&M's and jelly beans to help us with our counting and color words. We have been working on our shapes by drawing things that are each shape. We have also practiced our cutting skills!
Thomas's mom, Mrs. Libbi, came and told us all about selling some great Charleston Wrap paper and other good stuff. It's a great fundraiser for PDS, so get busy!
