Getting Christmas Ready!

We have been busy this week getting ready for Christmas! We have practiced our songs for the play almost every day! We've gotten really good at ringing those bell!
Tuesday we made a beautiful glittered ornament for our trees at home. Today, Mrs. Walker painted our hands and we made them in the shape of a Christmas tree. When it was dry, we put our fingerprints in the paint, and made the ornaments. Ms. Allene added a star to the top of each tree! They are really beautiful!🎄

OCTOBER!!!!!

October was a very busy month in Kindergarten! We took 2 field trips, celebrates the 50th day of school, and learned all about Fall.
Our first field trip was around Cleveland. We visited Air Repair, the new fire station, Wade, Inc, and the Martin and Sue King Train Museum. We finished up with a delicious treat at Delta Dairy.
The very next day we visited Bull Bottom Farms in Duck Hill. It was great fun, and we all came home with the perfect pumpkin.🎃
On the 50th day of school, we celebrated with an old fashion sock hop. We dressed up in 50's attire and danced our hearts out! It was a fun experience! We are halfway to the 100th day of school!
We have learned all about the Fall season in the middle of all of our fun. We collected leaves and acorns, watched the leaves turn colors, and felt the temperatures drop. I'd say we've had a busy month.

We had a fire drill that day, too. The firemen gave us fire hats and badges before they left. Thank you for all you do for us.

Fall is in the Air!

Although we were learning about the ocean last week, we took some time out to do 2 Fall art projects. The first one involved large coffee filters, markers, and water. We colored our coffee filters with our markers, and Mrs. Jones sprayed water on them. All of the colors ran together. When they dried, Ms. Allene laminated them. After that, she showed is how to die cut them into the shape of leaves. Very cool! We also painted colors tissue paper onto an apple. We used water and glue to paint with. Mrs. Jones hung our leaves and apples on our door.
Thursday and Friday we worked on our handprint crabs. We painted a sheet of paper blue with our water colors. When that dried, Mrs. Jones painted some "sand", and sprinkled real sand to make it look like the beach. She painted our hands red, and we made them into crabs! We hope you liked our finished product!

Colors, Shapes, and Charleston Wrap!

We have had a busy 2 weeks in Kindergarten. We have learned to "read" our color and shape words! That was some hard work!!! We graphed M&M's and jelly beans to help us with our counting and color words. We have been working on our shapes by drawing things that are each shape. We have also practiced our cutting skills!
Thomas's mom, Mrs. Libbi, came and told us all about selling some great Charleston Wrap paper and other good stuff. It's a great fundraiser for PDS, so get busy!

Dental Health Week

Thanks to Dr. Jason Jenninga, Lucy's dad, who visited us during Dental Health Week. The PARTY❤️

We had a great Valentine party! Mrs. Julie was in charge, and for our activity, we made S'mores in a Jar. We crushed up Graham Crackers, added marshmallows, chocolate chips, and brown sugar to our jars. Then we smashed it all down in the jar, and put on the top. We tied a ribbon with cooking directions around the top, and are goin home to try them out! Thanks moms for all of your help!
